Stockport striker Liam Dickinson has heaped praise on manager Jim Gannon for masterminding the club's revival.
County won promotion to League One after beating Rochdale 3-2 in Monday's play-off final, to cap a remarkable turnaround in the club's fortunes.
"He has worked his magic over the last two-and-a-half years," the 22-year-old told BBC Radio Manchester.
"He has transformed the club from nearly falling out of the Football League to promotion to League One."
The striker added: "To score the goal that got us promotion is an amazing feeling though it is not just down to myself, it's down to all the other players as well.
"It's not just the one game, it's down to the whole season too. We have worked so hard this year and we deserve it.
"When I think I was at Woodley Sports just a few years ago, it's a bit of a dream come true for me. I have worked hard to get here and of course I have had a bit of luck along the way and I am loving every minute of it."
