Jim Gannon has dismissed Stockport's favourites tag for the Edgeley Park play-offs decider as irrelevant.
County entertain Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday with the match finely balanced at 1-1 after the first leg.
"Favourites or not, it doesn't really matter now," the County boss told BBC Radio Manchester.
"It's just us against them now over 90 minutes. What a fantastic atmosphere it promises to be. Edgeley Park will be bouncing, I'm sure."
He added: "The ground will be rocking. The players will never have seen anything like it.
"You could see what a difference the fans made when we equalised in the first game - you could see how the players grew.
"I can't wait for it and I'm sure the players can't wait either.
"It's not that we're one game from Wembley, it's about getting promoted.
"This club is on a great journey. These players are going places - whether it's this year or next, it doesn't really matter.
"We're in for a fantastic season next year and a fantastic finish to the season this year and I can't wait."
