The 21-year Irishman made 20 appearances for the Foxes last season and also had two loan spells with Boston during the 2005/06 campaign.

County have also snapped up Liverpool defender James Smith on an initial one-month loan deal.

And the Hatters have the option of extending the 21-year-old right-back's deal until the end of the season.
