Stockport striker Michael Malcolm has seen his hopes of a dream move to Bundesliga side Werder Bremen dashed. The 21-year-old was due to join the German side on trial with a view to a permanent move but Bremen have pulled the plug.
"Michael's agent tried to deal with the club directly and German clubs won't have that so the trial is off," manager John Gannon told the club website.
"His agent probably hasn't acted in his best interests in this case."
