Stockport County will be run by the club's Supporters Trust as of 1 July. The Trust and current owners, Cheshire Sport, have signed and agreed terms after three months of negotiations.
Head of Cheshire Sport Brian Kennedy will transfer his shareholding to the Trust as a gift with a rent-free, 25-year lease to play at Edgeley Park.
The deal is subject to due diligence and a news conference will be held at the ground before Saturday's final home game against Wrexham.
