Craig Reid has attracted interest from a number of clubs

Stevenage have signed Newport striker Craig Reid for a club record fee, with strike duo Charlie Griffin and Yemi Odubade going the other way on loan.

Reid, 25, hit 24 goals as County ran away with last season's Blue Square South title and he has scored 18 Blue Square Bet Premier goals this term.

"He's got a great future and can play at a high level before too long," said Boro chairman Phil Wallace.

Neither club have confirmed the Reid fee or length of the loan deals.

Griffin, 31, and Odubade, 23, both joined Stevenage in the summer of 2009 but have scored just five goals between them this season.
