Stevenage substitute Peter Vincenti celebrates his injury-time winner

Stevenage Borough made their way through to the FA Cup first round but had to come from behind at Chelmsford.

Chelmsford took the lead against the run of play in the first half, when Rob Edmans slipped the Stevenage defence and rounded keeper Chris Day.

Charlie Griffin equalised just after the hour mark, and Chelmsford were reduced to 10 men with Stuart Glover red-carded for a tackle on Griffin.

Substitute Peter Vincenti sealed the win two minutes into added time.

Stevenage manager Graham Westley told BBC Three Counties Radio: "Any fourth qualifying round FA Cup tie away from home is going to be a difficult occasion.

"Chelmsford, Jeff King, Glenn Pennyfather, they know their way around the FA Cup and they were going to make it difficult for us.

"It wasn't an easy afternoon but credit to the lads for the second-half performance."
