Caretakers offer support to Bull
Stafford Rangers
Stafford Rangers caretaker managers Kevin Street and Neil Grayson say they will support Steve Bull if he becomes the new boss at Marston Road.

Grayson and Street have been in charge of Stafford since December but it now appears that Bull will appointed manager some time this week.

Grayson told BBC Radio Stoke: "If he comes in it will be a big boost for the club and he will get my full backing."

Street added: "If I can help Steve in any way I'm more than willing to."

The pair were speaking after Rangers' 2-1 win at Forest Green Rovers, where the two caretakers were on the scoresheet.

The result leaves Rangers 11 points from safety at the bottom of the Blue Square Premier, but they do have games in hand on the teams around them.

"After the win over Weymouth and then playing well in the abandoned game against Histon, beating Forest Green gives us a chance of staying up," said Street.

Saturday's clash at Halifax is expected to be Bull's first as manager of Rangers, with his first home game in charge coming against Farsley Celtic on 1 March.

Street said the players had been lifted by the prospect of Bull being named as the club's new manager.

"The excitement surrounding Steve has given the club a new dynamic and we're hoping for a big crowd for his first home game.

"Hopefully he can come in and use his connections to strengthen the team."
