Oldfield joined Stafford after a spell on Oxford's coaching staff |
Stafford Rangers have "regrettably had to release" assistant manager David Oldfield, the club has announced. "The decision was not an easy one to make and we would like to thank David for all the hard work he has put in," a club statement read.
Oldfield, 39, had assisted boss Phil Robinson since 2006, and had come out of retirement as a player to make 22 Conference appearances since then.
His departure came before Stafford's 2-1 defeat at Ebbsfleet on Saturday.
