St Mirren have signed Watford left-back Jure Travner on a year-long loan.
The 24-year-old Slovenian, who was capped at Under-21 level, moved to the English Championship outfit last summer from NK Celje.
Saints manager Danny Lennon told the club website that Travner was an important addition to his squad.
"Jure is technically very sound and he plays in the style that I like to see full backs play. He ticks a lot of the boxes for us," he said.
"He'll certainly go and link-in and join the play, he also has a physical presence and he is pretty quick," Lennon added.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old American midfielder Niko Gkionis is on trial with the Buddies after leaving Belgian Third Division club Excelsior Veldwezelt.
