Camara has signed for St Mirren until the end of the season
St Mirren have confirmed that former Celtic and Wolves left-back Mo Camara has signed until the end of the season.
The Guinea international, 33, has received international clearance and the Buddies have an option to extend his contract by another 12 months.
"The main thing is that the contracts have been signed and Mo is now a St Mirren player," manager Gus MacPherson told the club's website.
"When you see the level that Mo has played at, he is a quality player."
Last week the Paisley club had expected to sign former Leeds and Republic of Ireland left-back Ian Harte, before the player changed his mind on a move north.
And the Saints boss believes the publicity surrounding the collapse of that deal has helped find a solution to his problematic left-back berth.
MacPherson said Camara had better offers financially, but has chosen Paisley for football and family reasons.
"It appears to have alerted people within the game that we were looking for a left-back," said MacPherson.
