Gus MacPherson does not think his side are secure yet |
St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson praised his side's work ethic at East End Park as they all but secured their status in the SPL for another season. "I am delighted with a point," he said after the 0-0 draw away to bottom side Dunfermline Athletic.
"Everyone was saying it was a must-win game for them.
"We knew we were going to be under pressure a lot and hence the reason we set our stall out the way we did. A lot of credit must go to the defenders."
Dunfermline remain nine points adrift of St Mirren.
But, asked if he thought St Mirren were safe, MacPherson replied: "No, it's a simple answer. "Eight games are left and anything can happen when the split comes a long.
"It is a better point for us than Dunfermline."
