Buddies boss hails depleted side
St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson
MacPherson had to do without regular goalkeeper Tony Bullock
St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson was relieved to beat Falkirk after a flu bug left him short of players.

"It's a massive three points for us," he said. "We had 14 senior players to pick from and three under-21s on the bench. we're down to the bare bones.

"There's a virus going about and Tony Bullock phoned in to say he couldn't make it. It's just one of those things.

"We just have to get on with and try to get through these next few games without any further bodies going down."
