St Mirren's hopes of landing left-back Charlie Mulgrew from Celtic appear to be dashed. The 20-year-old defender is discussing terms with Wolves after being included in the transfer deal that will take Lee Naylor to Celtic Park.
Mulgrew spent part of last season on loan with Dundee United and has not featured for Celtic this term.
But Saints manager Gus MacPherson must now look elsewhere to strengthen his defensive options.
