Millar scored his third goal of the season on Saturday
St Johnstone midfielder Chris Millar has signed a two-year contract extension with the Perth club.
The new deal for the 26-year-old, who joined from hometown club Morton in 2008, ties him to Saints until 2012.
Manager Derek McInnes told his club website: "I'm delighted to have Chris committed to the club in this way and he has earned that stability.
"He played a big part in getting us into the SPL and is contributing to the task of keeping us there."
Millar, who scored his third goal of the season in Saturday's 1-0 Scottish Premier League win over St Mirren, was following in the footsteps of fellow midfielder Jody Morris and McInnes in signing contract extensions.
McInnes has been linked with the Dundee United manager's job should Craig Levein take the job with Scotland, but Millar is hoping that the new deals mean they will all remain committed to McDiarmid Park.
"I was delighted when the gaffer came to me and asked me to extend my stay and I am grateful to the club," said the midfielder.
"The manager himself recently committed himself to an extended stay and Jody has done the same and I am delighted to be the next to do so."
