Manager McInnes was pleased with St Johnstone's application

St Johnstone boss Derek McInnes was disappointed at the lapse which enabled St Mirren to earn a Scottish Cup quarter-final replay.

"At half-time we spoke about the concentration levels needed against a SPL team and it just takes them one split-second to score." he said.

"It's tough to lose a goal when you are winning but the players did everything.

"I felt there was a real appetite from us to win the tie and from the very first minute we were terrific."
