St Johnstone have released striker Derek Lilley, keeper Bryn Halliwell and midfielder Neil Janczyk. Saints missed out on promotion to the SPL after Gretna scored a last-minute winner against Ross County in the final game of the season.
Manager Owen Coyle is now in the process of rebuilding his squad for another campaign in the First Division.
On-loan midfielder Filipe Morais also looks to be on his way, after Saints allowed him to return to Millwall.
Lilley arrived on a free transfer from Morton last summer but the 33-year-old has been unable to break into the first team.
Halliwell, 26, was a regular earlier in the season but has made just two appearances this year.
Twenty-four-year-old Janczyk had spent loan spells at Raith and Stranraer this season.
St Johnstone are expected to offer new deals to players whose contracts are due to expire in the summer, including former Rangers midfielder Derek McInnes.
McInnes, 35, has indicated he will sign a new one-year contract.
But striker Jason Scotland could leave McDiarmid Park, with several clubs in England and Scotland keen on the Trinidad and Tobago international.
