Southport's much-travelled goalkeeper Jamie Speare has signed for Conference North side Barrow. Speare joined Southport last summer but was restricted to just two Conference appearances and was released at the end of the season.
The former Accrington Stanley keeper previously played under Barrow boss Phil Wilson at Lancaster City.
Speare, 29, is the replacement for long-serving veteran Simon Bishop at Holker Street.
