Southend United appointed Colin West as their new reserve-team coach, while Mark Stow has joined as chief scout.
West recently had a spell running Millwall's reserves and Stow has previously been Watford's chief scout.
The pair have replaced Dean Austin, who held both roles until he was appointed Watford assistant manager in November.
Southend manager Steve Tilson told BBC Essex: "Colin's the type of person I wanted and he can also help our strikers with the experience he has."
Ex-Sunderland and Rangers striker West was Chris Turner's assistant when he was in charge of Hartlepool and one of West's former clubs, Sheffield Wednesday.
Stow spent eight years as a scout and coach with Chelsea's academy before joining Watford as their chief academy scout in 2005.
He took up the same role with the first team a year later before leaving as part of a cost-cutting exercise by former manager Aidy Boothroyd.
