Southend United striker Lee Barnard believes team-mate Dougie Freedman has been a great addition to the club.
Between them the pair have scored six goals in the last four games to help the Blues to eighth in League One.
Barnard told BBC Essex: "He is a great player, obviously he's a 'fox-in-the-box' so is always going to get goals - so it's good to have him on board.
"It's going well, the lads are gelling now, we know how to play and what everyone is doing."
Freedman, 34, joined Southend on a free transfer from Crystal Palace in the summer and has scored four goals in four games.
