Southend have sold centre-back Zoltan Liptak to Hungarian side Ujpest FC.

The defender, who failed to make a single first-team appearance for Southend, has completed a �60,000 move back to his homeland.

The 23-year-old joined the Shrimpers from Lombard FC Papa on a two-year contract in July 2007.

Southend assistant boss Paul Brush told the club's website: "Zoltan never really progressed how we hoped. We wish him well for the future."
