Southend United have signed former Crystal Palace winger Tommy Black. The Blues have secured the 27-year-old, who was released by Palace at the end of last season, on a one-year deal with the option of a further year.
Black featured in only one game for Palace last season and then had a short spell on loan at Bradford before suffering a rib injury.
He made a total of 67 league starts for Palace and scored 10 goals during his seven-year spell with the club.
During that time the former Arsenal trainee also had loan spells at Carlisle United, Bristol City, Sheffield United and Gillingham.
