Southend United have withdrawn their contract offer to Nicky Nicolau, reports BBC Essex. The Blues offered the left-sided player a new deal after Nicolau helped them to promotion to League One.
But five weeks since that offer was made no agreement has been reached and Southend have told Nicolau's agent they are withdrawing the contract.
The 21-year-old, who arrived at Roots Hall from Arsenal, is believed to be wanted by Swindon Town.
