Southend have signed Yeovil defender Efe Sodje on loan, reports BBC Essex. The 33-year-old will make the move permanent next week for an undisclosed fee, and is set to sign an 18-month contract at Roots Hall.
The Nigeria international has signed in time to go straight into the Shrimpers' squad to face Oldham on Saturday.
Sodje joined Yeovil from Huddersfield in March 2005, and has also previously played for Stevenage, Macclesfield, Luton, Colchester and Crewe.
He has scored three goals in 30 league and cup appearances for the Glovers.
