Campbell-Ryce sets his sights on making an impact at Southend |
Southend have signed Rotherham winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce on a three-month loan which will begin on 1 October. The move will see the 22-year-old stay with the Blues until January and the transfer should then become permanent for an undisclosed fee.
He said: "I'm just pleased to be here. I was frozen out a bit at Rotherham.
"I followed Southend's fortunes last season and having seen them I think we're better than a lot of the teams in League One," he told BBC Essex.
On transfer deadline day last month, the Millers rejected a bid of 100,000 from Southend for the former Charlton player.
Campbell-Ryce joined the Millers from the Addicks in November 2004.
