Southampton boss Mark Wotte revealed there had been two offers which could take the club out of administration.

Saints will start next season in League One on minus 10 points after parent company Southampton Leisure Holdings plc went into administration in April.

There is speculation one of the parties involves Saints legend Matt Le Tissier.

"The administrators are considering an offer," Wotte said. "I think there are two groups. The sooner there's a solution the better."

Wotte expects several members of his squad to leave the club in the close season, following his side's demotion to the third tier of English football.

"I think four, five or six players were being watched by some Premier League or Championship clubs and they've made enquiries," he said.

"The players with big wages, you can't pay them in League One - so (Marek) Saganowski will leave, Jason Euell, Rudi Skacel, Bradley Wright-Phillips are all running out of contracts.

"Wayne Thomas is still a Southampton player but in League One those wages are a bit too expensive I think."

Regarding his own future, he added: "I will just wait for the decision of the administrator."
