Southampton have confirmed former caretaker bosses John Gorman and Jason Dodd have left the club.
The pair took charge at St Mary's when George Burley was appointed Scotland boss in January.
Gorman and Dodd remained part of the club's backroom staff when Nigel Pearson took charge but are no longer required by new boss Jan Poortvliet.
Chairman Michael Wilde told the club's website: "Jason and John did everything they could to assist the club."
He added: "However, the club has now adopted a new coaching direction, which together with the financial constraints meant there was no longer a viable role for them.
"Jason, in particular, has been a loyal servant for many years and we thank both him and John for their efforts."
Head coach Poortvliet will work alongside assistant Mark Wotte, reserve-team boss Stewart Henderson and under-18s coach Dave Hockaday as he prepares for the new season.
