Southampton have signed Middlesbrough defender Andrew Davies on a three-month loan - with a view to a permanent switch to the south coast. The 22-year-old made his Boro debut in November 2002 when he was still a month short of his 18th birthday.
He has made a total of 65 first-team appearance for the Teesside club.
Davies has also served Queens Park Rangers and Derby on loan, and Norwich recently revealed their interest in signing him on a temporary basis.
