Lundekvam was stretchered out of Saints win over Southend

Lundekvam also faces a race to be fit for the start of next season after being stretchered out of the Southend game with damaged ankle ligaments.

He told Saints' website: "The surgeon reckons I probably also dislocated my ankle when it happened, I'm devastated.

"I'll be in a splint for three weeks, and maybe the ligaments will need restructuring, and if I'm honest, I'll be lucky to be ready for pre-season."
