BBC Radio Solent reports that American billionaire Paul Allen has denied an interest in taking over Southampton. Microsoft founder Allen was the subject of speculation when Saints' parent plc announced to the Stock Exchange they were in talks with an interested party.
Radio Solent has carried an interview on the American Sports Business Network in which Allen ruled himself out.
He said: "There's been unusual rumours that I've looked at soccer teams, but I haven't looked at a single one."
