French midfielder Leandre Griffit has left Southampton to join Swedish club Elfsborg on a free transfer. Griffit, who signed from Amiens, scored on his Saints debut in October 2003 when he scored against Blackburn.
But the 21-year-old struggled to make an impact after manager Paul Sturrock's exit in August 2004 and has been released by the club.
He will link up with another former Southampton player, Anders Svensson, who is also at Elfsborg.
