Shrewsbury Town have signed former Everton and Plymouth striker Nick Chadwick until the end of the season, after his Hereford deal expired.
"He's a six foot target man with an eye for a goal who will improve our squad," Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"I was keen on him when he left Plymouth Argyle in May."
The 26-year-old scored just one goal in 12 games for the Bulls this season during his short-term, year-long deal.
Chadwick cost Plymouth £250,000 in February 2005 after he had hit six first-team goals in his 21 games for Everton (17 of which were as substitute).
He made 83 appearances for Argyle in three years at Home Park (30 of them from the bench), scoring 10 goals, including the club's fastest-ever strike - in just 11 seconds against Crystal Palace in 2005.
