Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson will make sure his side are well prepared for the challenge of Blyth Spartans before their FA Cup first round tie.
Blyth reached the fifth round of the competition in 1978 and Simpson told BBC Radio Shropshire: "It's a bit of a trip into the unknown.
"But we'll be watching them closely in their next two games. They have a history in the FA Cup."
Blyth are 16th in Blue Square North, "but in good Cup form," Simpson added.
Spartans reached the first round after victories over Whitby, Buxton and Sheffield.
They will host Shrewsbury on November 8.
