Shrewsbury Town have confirmed they have agreed a fee with Nottingham Forest for striker Grant Holt.

Shrews manager Paul Simpson is discussing personal terms with the player, after the club held talks with the forward on Friday.

The 27-year-old scored three goals for Forest in League One last term.

Holt spent the end of the season on loan at Blackpool after becoming frustrated with limited first-team opportunities at the City Ground.
