Nottingham Forest have accepted a bid from Shrewsbury Town for striker Grant Holt, BBC Radio Nottingham understands.
Holt is holding talks with Shrewsbury after claiming this week he wanted to stay at Forest rather than move to his home-town club Carlisle United.
The 27-year-old scored just three goals for Forest last season in League One.
Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson told BBC Radio Shropshire earlier this week that he had a number of offers on the table for players.
Holt spent the end of last season on loan at Blackpool after becoming increasingly frustrated with his limited opportunities at the City Ground.
And his chances of first-team starts next season looked even more slender after Forest signed striker Rob Earnshaw earlier this month.
No one at Shrewsbury Town was available to comment on Friday.
