Shrewsbury Town have appointed former Macclesfield chairman Rob Bickerton as their new managing director. Businessman Bickerton stepped down last Saturday, after five years in the job at Moss Rose, claiming: "It's the right time to seek new challenges."
Now Shrewsbury chairman Roland Wycherley hopes Bickerton can help the Shropshire club get out of League Two.
"He will be able to make a major contribution on all fronts, including team affairs," said Wycherley.
Supporters can meet Bickerton at a special fans' forum at the club's Oteley Road ground at 1930 GMT on 24 January.
