 McIntyre joins from Macclesfield while Drummond has moved back to Morecambe |
Shrewsbury Town have signed midfielder Kevin McIntyre from Macclesfield while captain Stewart Drummond has left to join his former club Morecambe. McIntyre, 30, has cost Shrewsbury around �50,000 while the club have received �15,000 for Drummond.
Manager Peters sees the former Chester player as Drummond's replacement.
"Kevin has a sweet left foot and can play in a number of positions, but I like him as a central midfield player," Peters told BBC Radio Shropshire.
The Shrewsbury boss has chosen midfielder Ben Davies to replace Drummond as club captain.
