| Shrewsbury Town's new home has been officially opened by the chairman of the football league, Lord Mawhinney, and club chairman Roland Wycherley. The stadium was opened for use in July after the club moved out of its original home at Gay Meadow. The east stand of the stadium will now be called the Roland Wycherley Stand in honour of the club chairman. Vice-chair Keith Sayfritz said: "We felt it was important to mark the occasion with an official ceremony."
