Goalkeeper Chris Neal has returned to Preston after his one-month loan at Shrewsbury came to an end. The 21-year-old joined the Shrews after first-choice keeper Ryan Esson was ruled out for up to 10 weeks with a fractured cheekbone.
He was on the bench for every league game during his spell at Gay Meadow and played in the Johnstone's Paints Cup game against Hereford.
Chris Mackenzie is now the Shrews' only fit senior goalkeeper.
