Shrewsbury Town have re-signed former Chesterfield goalkeeper Glyn Thompson. Thompson, who started his career as a trainee with the Shrews, has signed a 12-month deal after impressing manager Gary Peters during pre-season.
"We needed to get another keeper in, one who will push Joe Hart all the way," Peters told the club website.
Thompson, 24, moved to Fulham from Shrewsbury in October, 1999 before spells with Mansfield, on loan, Northampton and Chesterfield.
