No pressure to sell - Sheffield Wednesday's Alan Irvine
Irvine took over at Hillsborough last week following Brian Laws' exit
New Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine has denied reports that he is under pressure to sell his key players.
Goalkeeper Lee Grant and forward Marcus Tudgay have both been linked with moves away from Hillsborough.
Irvine said: "There's no pressure to sell because we've got no offers. But obviously if big offers come in then that pressure might come."
He has also ruled out a fresh move for Derby striker Luke Varney unless the financial situation improves.
Meanwhile, Akpo Sodje is in contention for a return to the starting line-up for Saturday's derby with Barnsley after his loan with Charlton Athletic expired.
Defender Richard Hinds and midfielder Tommy Miller are both ruled out for the trip to Oakwell through injury.
