Sheffield Wednesday have signed West Brom striker Bartosz Slusarski on loan for the rest of the season.
"This is our last chance to get the firepower ready to get the wins we need," Owls Manager Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"He wanted to come here and show everybody what he's capable of - something he didn't get the chance to do while at West Brom."
Slusarski goes straight into the Owls squad to face Stoke on Saturday.
Meanwhile Enoch Showunmi could return to Bristol City when his loan spell ends at Hillsborough this weekend.
Showunmi has made six appearances for the Owls in the last two months and has not scored a goal for Wednesday.
Laws is yet to make a decision over the strikers future: "We are still unsure as to what we will do with Sowunmi and we will make that decision after the weekend on whether or not to extend his stay."
