Sheffield Wednesday have completed the loan signing of Derby defender Michael Johnson on a month's loan. The experienced centre-half, 34, joins the Owls on a temporary deal until the end of October under the Football League emergency loan ruling.
Owls boss Brian Laws said: "I have been looking to bring in an experienced player to bolster our defence and Michael is the ideal candidate.
"He has a vast amount of experience at Championship level."
Laws added: "Michael will also bring a real vocal presence to the team."
