Mills and Sodje will bolster Alan Pardew's defensive options |
Charlton Athletic are set to bolster their push for a return to the Premier League by signing defenders Danny Mills and Sam Sodje on loan deals. Manchester City's Mills, 30 and Reading's Sodje, 28, are both in line to move to The Valley.
Mills has already had one spell at Charlton, playing for them from 1998-99 and making 51 appearances.
Sodje was set to join Sheffield Wednesday last week, but he is set to join Charlton on a season-long loan.
Sodje made his first appearance of the season for Reading in their Carling Cup tie at Swansea on Tuesday, but he was sent off for two bookings.
Out-of-favour Mills has not played for City since 28 August last year, though he spent two months on loan at Championship side Hull later that season.
