Grant has represented England at Under-21 level |
Sheffield Wednesday are set to sign former Derby goalkeeper Lee Grant. The 24-year-old former England Under-21 player was released by County at the end of the season after his first-team chances became increasingly limited.
Grant came through the ranks at Derby and played 79 games for the club, as well as enjoying loan spells at Burnley and Oldham in 2006.
"We've agreed terms and it's complete except for a few formalities," said his agent Gino Culbertson.
"Lee is on holiday at the moment and the move will be completed upon his return.
"He's very much looking forward to joining Sheffield Wednesday as first-choice goalkeeper.
"He'll be sad to leave Derby, where he has spent a long time, but he is looking forward to the future."
