Peter Gilbert has returned to Sheffield Wednesday after having his loan deal at Doncaster terminated by mutual consent. The 23-year-old defender made five appearances for Doncaster during his 28 days spent at the League One outfit.
Owls boss Brian Laws, who has had injury problems in defence, told the club's website: "It will be nice and refreshing to have him back.
"He looks like he has come back full of beans and I hope he can give me something extra to what I've got."
