Sheffield Wednesday have placed Academy manager Sean McAuley in charge of first team affairs for the Championship clash with QPR. McAuley will be assisted by goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer until a new manager is appointed.
Wednesday have also parted company with assistant manager Kevin Summerfield and defensive coach John Blackley.
The pair leave the Championship side in the wake of manager Paul Sturrock being sacked on Thursday.
