Sheffield Wednesday have signed 22-year-old Charlton winger Lloyd Sam on a one-month loan. He cannot play in the Carling Cup tie against Wrexham, but is available for the League game against Leeds.
"Supporters might be surprised that he's not an out-and-out centre forward," Owls manager Paul Sturrock told the club's website.
"But he's a very offensive player who can plays wide and we need pace down the sides of the team."
