 Lunt ends a long association with Crewe |
Sheffield Wednesday have made their third close season signing with the capture of Crewe midfielder Kenny Lunt, reports BBC Radio Sheffield. The 26-year-old has spent his entire career at Gresty Road making over 400 appearances and has just rejected a 10-year deal to stay with the club.
Lunt signed professional terms in July 1997 and was given his debut in the 1997-98 season against Swindon.
Wednesday have beaten off competition from Championship rivals Leicester.
Lunt who has signed a three-year contract has become the second Alex player in the close season to sign for Wednesday as he follows Majid Bougherra to Hillsborough.
