Sturrock's contract is due to end this year |
Sheffield Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock believes chairman Dave Allen has "destabilised" the club after going public about contract negotiations. Sturrock is in the final year of his deal and Allen revealed that a decision on a new contract would not be made until Christmas at the earliest.
"I'm a bit disappointed because I did feel it was a private conversation," Sturrock told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"I do feel the conversation has maybe destabilised the club."
Sturrock added: "It has given an uncertainty to the fans and the players. It's a disappointing scenario."
